A collection of projects from my past and ongoing work with Bridge Builder Guitars.
I worked as a design contractor beginning in November of 2022, and was fortunate to co-op with them during Summer 2023 and Spring 2024.
My primary responsibilities were running our CNC machine, creating 3D models and tool paths, designing work holding jigs, and making custom components for customer's guitar modifications.
The "JC" is a custom offset guitar shape I designed and built with Bridge Builder Guitars.
A Bengals themed guitar for Eli Maiman of Walk the Moon, played at PAYCOR stadium during the Bengals' 2023 home opener.
I created the 3D models, tool pathing, and jigs necessary to begin producing Bridge Builder's guitar necks on our in shop CNC machine.
The "JC" is an offset guitar shape I designed and built with Bridge Builder Guitars. Because I was building this guitar for myself, I took the opportunity to experiment with creating custom fretboard inlays, pickups covers, and a cavity cover plate on our CNC machine. With this guitar serving as a proof of concept, Bridge Builder can now include these features as potential offerings for their future custom guitars.
Taking inspiration from my body shape and the existing "Jazzbuilder" model, Justin from Bridge Builder Guitars is starting a new line called the "Hornet" which will be available soon!
This guitar was built for Walk the Moon's guitarist Eli Maiman after he was invited to play at the Bengals' home opener for the 2023-2024 season. Using Bridge Builder's "Jazzbuilder" model as a base, I was responsible for designing, modeling, and implementing all of the Bengals themed customization, which included epoxy stripes on the body and headstock of the guitar and a "WHO DEY" block inlay on the fretboard. This guitar was also the first official Bridge Builder Guitar to have its neck built in house on our CNC machine.

My main project during my first term at Bridge Builder was to create the 3D models, CNC toolpaths, and work holding jigs necessary to begin manufacturing guitar necks in house.
